London, 1962. Two teenage girls, Ginger and Rosa, are inseparable — they skip school, talk about religion, politics and hairstyles, and dream of lives more than their mothers’ domestic routines. But as the Cold War and sexual revolution collide, and the threat of nuclear war looms, the lifelong friendship is shattered by the clash of desire and survival.
